Acetone vs. Non-acetone Nail Polish Remover

Most of us have painted our nails before and love creating colorful patterns and designs. Eventually, however, the old nail polish has to go. There are many different types of nail polish removers to choose from, but the two basic types are acetone and non acetone.
Acetone nail polish removers are stronger and more effective than other removers. They are especially useful when removing dark or glitter polishes. On the other hand, acetone dries out nails and the surrounding skin. Some people use pure acetone on their nails, but this is believed to cause yellowing and weakening of nails and is not recommended. Non acetone removers do not work as well and can take a long time. They can also dry out your nails but aren't as harsh as acetone. Most non acetone nail polish removers add in moisturizing ingredients but this means that the remover is less effective.
In the end, it is really a up to you which kind of remover you like best. You may prefer acetone removers if you use lots of dark colors and glitter, or you might like non acetone removers if you use light colors or do not paint your nails often.
